Ode to Classics with Pan Pacific Singapore's New Afternoon Tea
Pan Pacific Singapore launches two new afternoon tea menus of classic treats to while away the day with at Atrium and Pacific Marketplace.
The new three-tier English Afternoon Tea ($38 per person) offers up savoury creations, like the Beetroot Bun with Crab Meat and Avocado or Charcoal Bun with Smoked Salmon, that can be paired with a glass of bubbly (supplement of $20 for a glass of Laurent-Perrier Champagne, $30 for Laurent-Perrier Rosé Champagne).
But what really got my attention is the Peranakan Afternoon Tea Menu ($38 per person) of traditional favourites ranging from Nyonya Kueh Pie Tee, Traditional Penang Popiah to Apam Balik, a moist and fluffy pancake with peanut fillings.
Highlight from the new offerings, and also my personal favourite, is the rich, full-flavoured Traditional Nyonya Chicken Curry that packs a slight heat for that extra Shiok-ness, and marries perfectly with servings of light, crisp French baguette.
The Peranakan Afternoon Tea Menu is made complete with nostalgic delights like the Rainbow Kueh, a colourful nine-layered cake, Kueh Seri Muka, double-layered steamed glutinous rice topped with pandan custard and Dried Shrimp with Coconut Pulut Panggang, a lightly grilled glutinous rice roll wrapped with fragrant shrimp filling.
Pan Pacific Singapore's new Peranakan and English Afternoon Tea menus are available daily, 2pm-6pm, and is priced at $38 per person, $58 per person with a glass of Laurent-Perrier Champagne, and $68 per person with a glass of Laurent-Perrier Rosé Champagne.
