Food is undeniably an obsession on our shores. Returning 26 March to 5 April 2014, the World Gourmet Summit—Singapore's foremost gourmet culinary event—centres around "The Classics" for their 18th year with a showcase of Michelin-starred masterchefs who will be paired with hosting chefs at 13 establishments including Majestic Restaurant, Dolce Vita, Tippling Club and SKIRT.
There will also be 22 partner restaurants that will be presenting exclusive World Gourmet Summit menus available only during these nine days, as well as intimate dinners, special events and workshops.
Besides the opening reception at Suntec Singapore Convention (26 March) and 14th edition of the Awards of Excellence at Ritz-Carlton Singapore (5 April), other event highlights include a “Modern vs Classical” Eu Yan Sang dinner (31 March) that reflects the styles of celebrity Masterchef Arron Huang from Taiwan and award-winning Majestic Restaurant’s Chef Yong Bing Ngen; a decadent 6-course Wagyu dinner by Chef Chris Millar (3 April), paired with The Macallan vintages; and perfect foie gras indulgence as Chef Ivan Brehm of Bacchanalia teams with Rougié Sarlat, world’s number one producer of foie gras for an exclusive Rougié Foie Gras Dinner (3 April).
