St. Regis Singapore - 2013 Festive Offerings
This festive season, The St. Regis Singapore presents an array of gourmet offerings and activities, such as their elaborate and indulgent dinner feasts to usher in Christmas and the New Year. However, if you must limit yourself, the Christmas Champagne Brunch (25 and 26 December) at Brasserie Les Saveurs will not disappoint with their selection of good nosh.
Beyond the delicious butler-passed canapés of Foie Gras Mousse with Apricot and Lobster Florentine Souffle, we recommend digging into their medley of seafood—freshly shucked oysters accompanying delicately poached Boston lobster, king prawns and Alaskan crab in an aromatic court bouillon.
Another highlight is their Filet Mignon En Brioche. Reminiscent of a Beef Wellington, but the expertly executed tenderloin is wrapped with prosciutto ham, topped with luscious foie gras then baked in brioche, and served with a rich, savoury Perigord sauce.
I also enjoyed the Roasted Muscovy Duck, also available as a festive takeaway option, served with a smooth orange sauce to accentuate its slight smokiness. The fattiness of the duck is a much appreciated change from the usual range of admittedly drier turkey offerings.
If you're looking for sweets, go for the fine Christmas Chocolate Log Cake with a divine passion fruit creme brulee centre, or the lovely Christmas Brandied Cherry Fruitcake.
The St. Regis Christmas Brunch at Brasserie Les Saveurs is from 12noon to 3pm on 25 and 26 December, and is priced at $218 per person with complimentary flow of Billecart Salmon Brut Reserve; $188 per person with complimentary flow of wines, beer and juices; $168 per person with complimentary flow of coffee and tea; and $75 per child.
