Imperial Feast Fit for a King at Regent Singapore
Summer Palace Regent Singapore launches their inaugural Imperial Feast Reunion Dinner event, where Executive Chinese Chef Liu Ching Hai and his team will recreate an imperial palace feast in the form of a lavish and unique Chinese New Year semi-buffet spread, held exclusively at the hotel’s Royal Pavilion Ballroom for one-night only on 7 February 2016.
Some items available from the 'Sea of Fortune' Station
The event kicks off with the customary Yusheng tossing—this year, Summer Palace presents a scrummy, well-balanced Smoked Salmon Yusheng—before they open up their constantly-replenished Peking Duck Corner, 'Sea of Fortune', 'Wealth of Life', 'Prosperity Mountain' stations where you'll be able to get your fill of premium prosperity dishes.
Crispy Fish Skin with Salted Egg Yolk
Crispy Mini Bun Served with Chili Crab Meat Sauce
Deep-fried Prawn with Mayonnaise and Mango
Fried Glutinous Rice with Baby Abalone, Dried Shrimp and Cured Meat
I'm usually not a fan of glutinous rice, but the Fried Glutinous Rice with Baby Abalone was excellent. Moist, aromatic glutinous rice with just the right bite, gratuitously studded with dried shrimp, cured meat and crowned with a baby abalone. The best part? Unlimited servings.
Mini Buddha Jump Over the Wall
On the Imperial Feast dinner menu, there are also four courses that will be served individually: the Smoked Salmon Yusheng, robust and nourishing Mini Buddha Jumps Over The Wall, the seemingly simple but brilliantly executed Steamed Soon Hock in Light Soya Sauce, and Stewed Ee Fu Noodle with Crab Meat, Shredded Mushroom and Chive.
