First-Ever Singapore Restaurant Month (1 Jul - 10 Aug)
Restaurant Association of Singapore (RAS), together with Agri-food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA), has launched the very first Singapore Restaurant Month—featuring 50 restaurant brands coming together with 50 new dish creations in celebration of our nation's Golden Jubilee.
What makes this gastronomic event standout, besides the magic number '50', is that each spotlighted local, or local-inspired dish, will showcase at least one of our homegrown produce.
Highlights include Portico's daring 3 Grain Laksa Risotto (barley, quinoa and orzo) with coconut milk foam and Pulau Ubin seabass fishcake that's available as part of a $50 SG50 set menu, and Palm Beach Seafood Restaurant's expertly done, fresh and affordable Fried Baby Barramundi ($18/500g), sourced from a local barramundi farm.
Also on the list of 50 restaurants brands are 12 heritage restaurants—such as Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant, Fatty Weng Restaurant and Islamic Restaurant—that will serve up Singapore Restaurant Month dishes for a limited period from 17 July to 2 August 2015, in conjunction with Singapore Food Festival 2015.
