Brunch-ing Away From It All at Saint Pierre

The next most unpleasant sound to “Homosexuality is a choice” is a weekend alarm; I refuse to be further shackled by the noise that governs me for most of the week. Weekend brunches are the god-sent answers to my love for slumber, and an equally compelling desire for a staple eggs and toast meal to start my day. Now joining the leagues of weekend brunch destinations, Saint Pierre at Quayside Isle offers a peaceful start to your weekend mornings, away from the bustling nature of our city.

The brunch menu at Saint Pierre features an exhaustive list of breakfast options done with Chef Emmanuel Stroobant’s signature touch. If one is to sleep like a king, one should eat like one too. Braised Lobster, Ikura and Champagne Hollandaise ($36++) sure is befitting if you’re looking to pamper yourself this weekend. Conventional favourites such as the Eggs Benedict ($24++) is jazzed up by the premium cut of bellota ham, and drizzed over with a champagne hollandaise sauce.

To compensate for missing breakfast, one can opt for Saint Pierre’s degustation brunch menu for 2 or more ($68++ per person). Not only does this take weekend sloth to the next level by sparing your mind from any decision conflict, it also allows you to sample most of Chef Stroobant’s signature creations on his weekend brunch menu. Included in the 6-course degustation menu is a succulent wagyu steak with a marbling score of 7, and a tasteful reconstructed sago dessert drizzled in honey.

Dine in tranquil while overlooking the quayside, which features a catalogiue full of boats and yatches you can splurge on with your next bonus on. Enjoy the fleeting (literally) dreams when you gaze out the windows, as the reality check of Monday will come soon enough.
