Chinese, NewsComment

Riding on the waves of nostalgia, Si Chua Dou Hua @ Parkroyal Kitchener Road has added a list of traditional claypot dishes to their extensive Chinese menu. All dishes are cooked as per tradition over a charcoal stove, and served piping hot to diners for a truly nostalgic experience. Si Chuan Dou Hua | Claypot

Helmed by Executive Chef Leung Wing Chung, the team has created a variety of claypot rice dishes, best of which includes the Claypot Rice With Chicken, Live Frot and Enoki Mushroom ($18) and the Claypot Rice with Sliced Pork and Salted Fish ($18).

But what stole the light of the show was Si Chuan Dou Hua’s Barbecued Suckling Pig ($198). The skin to fat ratio is just right, with enough crackling in the skin to make adjourning diners regret not ordering the dish. This was definitely one of the better suckling pigs in town.

UOB Cardmembers will be delighted to know that they would enjoy a 50% discount on any second orders of the Roast Suckling Pig or Claypot Rice dishes. This promotion runs until 31st December 2013.
